Why should we print when thousands of photos are taken each day? We share them to family and friends through instant social media. When we want to recall a memory we swipe and swipe and well maybe it's on the cloud. You'll find it.
So why is prints important?
In the article "This isn't the end of printed photos, it's the golden age." by Digital Trends on October 17, 2017. They write "Printing for archival reasons is a logical thing to do, but the real reason you should start printing is emotional." Wow, this is so true! How do you feel when you look through a book from your vacation? How about when you look at your wall and see the family photo?
If you don't have these things, we should talk after all I am a photographer.
They also mention this sentence about size. "There is just something about holding a finished print in your hands that is infinitely more satisfying than seeing your photo on a screen — especially a pocket-sized one." There are so many types of papers, mountings, wood, metal, acrylic, and so worth that you are sure to find your style. When is the last time you held a print?
