A Weekend Valentines Getaway:
A getaway is something my Husband and I rarely do. Our Anniversary was in August of 2020 when things were beginning to ramp up on the pandemic side. Do I need to explain? We received a gift certificate for a getaway and put it off. This Valentines I made a reservation for the 14th at the Keeter Center not knowing about a Valentine package or weather. When chatting with some friends they mentioned the snow that was being forecasted. I was in the dark. Guess who skipped social media for a few days? Ugh.
I emailed to find out if we could move it to Saturday or just bag the weekend and try some other time.
In Luck!
An opening for Saturday, let's do it!
I love supporting small businesses and this place is a little cabin style hotel on a college campus. This college with the slogan "Hard work U" is just south of Branson, MO. All the students at the college work at something while attending school. This cozy hotel has a restaurant, creamer, bakery, gift shop, and museum. The service was five star!
Our Valentine Package:
We checked in and opened our room to an amazing desert display and hand written card wishing us Happy Anniversary.
Our package included Fireside Dinning in the Dinning Center. Little did we know it was a four course meal with a live band! So much good food and we got to meet the Sous Chef. While we were filling our bellies they told us they were going to give us a turn down service in our room and if that would be okay with us. Heck yeah, didn't really know what that was but sounded awesome. Upon returning to our room we found they had turned down our room with rose petals, chocolates, giant chocolate chip cookies, milk, water, and sparkling white grape juice.
What? That was awesome! I had never had anything like that before. Seriously better than our Honeymoon.
I tried to sample the snacks but I was full. Instead I enjoyed a bath in the jetted tub with the lavender salts made and packaged by the students. With heated towels and bathrobes, I felt like a queen! We filled out our choices for breakfast. I was still so full I began to question if I was going to be able to eat breakfast the next day.
On Valentine's Day morning I was soaking up the snowy view with a warm cup of coffee wrapped in a toasty bathrobe. We were going to be leaving as the snow was coming in. Room service had just delivered our Valentine breakfast. Lemon blueberry scones with white sparkling grape juice with strawberries was the extra surprise.
If you are looking for a nice quite, well pampered getaway I highly recommend the Keeter Center. The students work hard to provide you the best hospitality possible! All the experiences made it a wonderful night.
My husband and I enjoyed our little get away and made memories we will look back on and smile.
