Mudhouse Coffee, Downtown Springfield, MO
This weeks adventure was a cozy coffee shop in Downtown Springfield. Set in an old historic building the shop looks to have traditional hardwood flooring and brick walls. Guest can grab a soft leather chair and relax while enjoying a cup of coffee or pick a table and get some work done. I chose to met a new friend! Her name is Amber Morton and she is a wedding coordinator. We gabbed about wedding stuff and our love of coffee. So much fun getting out and exploring the world after all that the world has been through!
Mudhouse even has accommodations outside their store in their homemade patio. Maybe next time? I chose a house blend with soy and a dash of cinnamon on top. The taste was smooth and hints of floral. Which I love! Don’t get me wrong there is time for the more earthy blend but I prefer a lighter start for the morning. What kind are you? A cup that whispers “Good morning” or one that says loudly “Let’s go, it’s morning!”
You can visit their website but I found their Facebook page more interesting. I know they started in December of 1998 and roast their own coffee. The mystery still remains how did they really start this? How did they chose who they buy the beans from? I guess one morning someone woke up and said, “I love coffee and I want to share that with the world”. Well, that’s just my imagination talking. Maybe someday I will find out but for now, when the weather is good I’ll stop by every now and then to met a friend and have a cup of coffee.
