Autumn and Jacob's wedding venue is nestled in the woods in Marshfield, MO. The Barn at Walnut Creek offers so many photo backdrop options it's hard to choose!
The lady's room was upstairs in the reception building. Autumn and her girls had a lot of fun doing their nails and make-up. Everyone was in a relaxed mood as we waited out the rain. Autumn worked on her bouquet putting together flowers mixed with succulents.
The boys were by the ceremony building in a new lounge area that was finished earlier this year. Complete with video games and snacks! Call of Duty, anyone?
The thunderstorm left just in time for the ceremony! At one end of the barn stands a large picture window. The metal ceiling was draped with sheer fabric. They chose a whiskey barrel framed by a large triangle as the decor. During the ceremony, they 'tied the knot' by braiding a three-strand rope. The couple also took communion.
The bridesmaid's dresses were in a light plum shade. I can picture the girls talking about the styles while waiting for the brown box with a smile to show up on the doorstep. The men wore complementary colors in a light heather grey suit. Suits were from Paul Philips Formalwear.
Guests enjoyed a late lunch of pulled pork and lots of side choices. The reception had many activities. In all corners of the room, guests could move about picking up a bottle of champagne flavored jelly beans, or grabbing a cupcake, or hitting the dance floor. If one felt their inner Brawny Man they could enjoy Ax throwing out in the field.
In all the sun came out and shined on the beautiful union of Autumn and Jacob.
